The LSU Eye Center of Excellence is conviently located Uptown at the LSU Healthcare Network. Patients may make their own appointments for consultation, or be referred by other physicians, and we accept most insurance carriers.

About Our Department

The LSU Eye Center at LSU Healthcare Network offers world-class eye care for patients locally, nationally and internationally. More than 30,000 patients obtain state of the art ophthalmology services at LSU Eye Center facilities each year. Diagnostic procedures and treatment developed at LSU Eye Center have given vision and hope to both our own patients as well as thousands of others throughout the world.

Our clinic provides every aspect of state-of the-art ophthalmic care. Some of our diagnostic equipment, such as our confocal microscope used for advanced diagnosis of dry eye and corneal abnormalities, is not available for patients anywhere else in Louisiana. Our wide range of clinical services covers all areas of ophthalmic diagnostic services, medical and surgical eye care. Our nationally regarded ophthalmologists have been included in Best Doctors and New Orleans Best Doctor Issue.
